2nd meeting of the CI NOVATEC project in Bari

The 2nd meeting of the CI NOVATECCustomer Intelligence for innovative Tourism Ecosystems project was held on 4 and 5 February 2019, in the Chamber of Commerce of Bari in Italy.

The CI-NOVATEC project involves five partners and as a lead partner, the Region of Western Greece. The University of Patras- Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Region of Epirus are the two Greek partners, the Region of Puglia and the Chamber of Commerce of Bari are the two Italian partners of the project. Moreover, there is cooperation with the Chamber of Achaia and the Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi.

Overall objective of CI-NOVATEC is to focus on Local Tourism Clusters which formulate one of the most significant factors of regional economies and consist of geographically concentrated SMEs, providing services to the same customer i.e. the arriving visitor and may belong to various market sectors, such us Tourism, Creative Industry, Agrofood, Commerce, Leisure, Transportation etc.

The CI-NOVATEC is based on the development and implementation of an innovative methodology by collecting experience data from the visitors. These data will be used to facilitate business and political decisions in order to assist the local "Tourism Ecosystem".

The second technical meeting of the project is represented by the Region of Western Greece project team, Vasiliki Karapanou, Konstantina Lantavou and Mary Stergiou, who mentioned the cooperation steps that took place in the selected pilot areas and the next following actions.
